Hey guys!
Thanks to all of you who sent us emails, I try to answer every single one of them but don't always find the time to do it. For those that haven't received a reply from me, this post is for you.
Some of you asked for positions in the team so they could help with the project. We're still looking for a programmer, but thank you for volunteering!
To those who offered to help translating our script in other languages, more than expected I might add, feel free to do so. I haven't had the time I thought I'd have for the Italian and Portuguese translations, so others are welcome to go ahead and do it in my stead.
Got something to say? Give us a shout at team@projectnemo.net!
Hey dragonspike...
ReplyDeletehow are you? is excellent news that many are volunteering for translation into other languages, I am sincerely looking for a hacker to not written but I found none.
Anyway, how's the translation of the script from English to Italian?
I thank you in advance.
Ps if I find some hacker will alert you immediately, OK?
I just don't have the time to do it at the moment. I'll get back to it at some point, but not any time soon.
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteCan I translate your scripts to Russian?)
Many Russian fans love that game and want to say it in our native language :)
Thank you beforehand)

portuguese!?!?!? F*UCK YEAH! Now that i am completely glad to useatoday! thank you!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year guys, I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to ask about the progress with finding the rom hacker, any success with that?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I don't have any skills in that area, but you may try looking for a similar completed fan translation projects, and try asking their programmers for help. Guys translating Tales of Phantasia for PS1 seem to be reasonably successful, and in the final stages of their project. They have also probably created a few tools for working with their rom which may also be compatible with AC3 rom.
(My work here is done. Captain Obvious, AWAY!!!).
Oh, and you may also consider this, I may be willing to donate a few bucks to the team (you know, without any obligations, so it's not commercial), and I bet a few other fans would be willing to so too. It may not be much, but it will still be a small incentive for a programmer.
Dragonspike Hey ... how are you?
ReplyDeleteSince it's for a long time since I updated the blog I wanted to ask how he is going to the Italian translation? Did you find a programmer?
I look forward to your response
Bye ;)
well, since i love ace combat 3 , i hope some1 will put translations in the game and maybe some anti aliasing if possible (lol ) which i thinky it itsnt,,,,
ReplyDeleteIs possible there isn't any hacker that help you in this fantastic project?
ReplyDeleteHey there guys, I only recently came across this translation project and would just like to say you have all my support :D AC3 is my favorite of the series (And one of my fav PS1 games) but was unaware the japanese version had so much more content than the PAL edition I purchased.
ReplyDeleteI am greatly looking forward to playing the game as how it should have been.
Wish you great luck on finding a programmer, and once again thankyou for bringing us how AC3 should have been. :)

Imran-UK here, co-founder, to my knowledge no ROM hacker has come forward so the position is very much open and appreciated! Contact us at team@projectnemo.net
ReplyDeleteIt would be fantastic to see our translation in the actual game the way the Front Mission 5 or 2 translation team has done (frontmission.info)
Thanks
Um, guys, I hate to be all negative, but you don't exactly have a big public profile. If you're just passively waiting for a hacker to contact you, you're gonna have to wait for a long, long time.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could try searching for a similar completed or nearly completed projects and asking their hackers If they want to participate.
Dear Kia,
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the pool of people capable of PSX translation is very limited. There is no way on Earth you can buy or convince someone with rare and valuable skills like that—you basically have to wait for them to come to you, even if you advertise through the right channels (which we have). They have to want to do it. Translation hacking is not very rewarding work unless you want to and can do it, I’m afraid.
I remain optimistic that there will one day be a properly translated version of AC3.

To all those who are wondering about a translation from English to any other language: yes, please go for it! The language is a bit unnatural because it is a fairly strict translation from the Japanese, other than my using a few strictly U.S. terms for some military things. I would encourage others to use language that sounds natural and makes sense in your own language!
